It is a Hawaiian name meaning Heaven or Sky, and can sometimes be thought to mean Chief or Noblewoman. When used in Polynesia, it is taken as meaning Sky.

If you translate Lani from Hawiian to English, it can be taken as meaning chief, regal, royal, sky, heavenly or heaven.

In Hawaiian, Kaha Lani means "heavenly place."

Kaha means "place" - so Lani means "heavenly."
