Line through the eye, six turns around the main line, then back into the lowest part of the loop. Pull tight after a little spittle on the line............

this is the first knot i learned how to tie when i started fishing.it supposedly is one of the strongest knots used in fishing.just be sure to wet the line to cut down on friction when pulling the knot tight

You can find all kinds of web sites on this. Here is a link to a knot that I use for Bass(Large and smallmouth) here in Missouri. I have never had it fail and it is easy to do.
