By the way, I'm not ocd in the least. I don't need to get out. Instead of staying home tonight like all you lot playing with yahoo answers I am going out now top have fun with my friends. I just happen to have a lot of cds and want to find the right ones when I need them. Additionally I work in public libraries, although no longer as a librarian, and am interested in cataloguing. Which is not a strange thing to be interested in, and of great mathematical and sociological interest.

I'd put in by the name of the film. Or you could group them all together under O, for OST.

I always do it by title of film - because I can usually remember this better than any of the other options, and it remains consistant throughout my collection (not all films have a significant composer, director or star, but EVERY film has a title)

Here was me thinking I was the only person doing this :) heh thanks.

I organised a special sountrack section at the end, then sort the various sountracks alphabetically by title of the film. excluding words like 'the' or 'A' at the beginning. if you only have one or two just put them in the main collection under title of film.

gee i do it by genere, and alphebeticle. example i have rock startin with ac/dc then metal starting with anthrax, and so on. i also have all mine in the original cd case's in the big cd collection cases with the genere labled on them. makes it a heck of alot quicker.i would file it under the sound track title since you are not going by genere.Dont worry about those that are talking bull,i see it like this. the les time i spend looking for a cd is more time i can have fun and get out :D

I have my CD's in alphabetical order as well, and what I do with soundtracks is I file it under the name of the movie's first significant word. i.e. The Beach, I would file under B for Beach, The Million Dollar Hotel under the M for Million etc.

I have my first alphabetical by artist, then chronological within the artist. Soundtracks come at the end within the "various artists" section, then arranged by film title.

And yes, I am a big geek.

I have my soundtrack's in "various" therefore V. As I only have about a dozen in that category, they are fairly easy to find.

I'd file it by film name. My mum would put it at the end.
