Well everyone on here is very lucky. I have NEVER been on any roller coasters or even seen one in real life!! However I have been on the egg roll. It's not that high and all it does is flip and spin in a circle like a ferris wheel. ALL my life I have been freaked out about goin on it,,and never went on. Then one day, 5 years later I might add, I was sick of bein scared especially when all my friends would always talk about how much fun it was. So I was just brave, didn't think of the scary part and went on. Oh ya, and screaming DOES HELP trust me. Just remeber, people go on these rides ALL DAY LONG YEAR AFTER YEAR AFTER YEAR. The whole time you get on just keep thinking, this is just for fun, nothing will happen, I WILL HAVE FUN lol and don't let any scary thoughts come into your head. Then once it starts you will have a BLAST!

I used to be.Ever since seeing Final Destination 3, I was scared the rollar coasters were going to go off the track or something. So I never got on any roller coasters. But like the sixth time I went to to Frontier City with the band,my friends made me go on all the roller coasters.I was mad at them to,but they helped me get over it.It's okay you'll get over it,hopefully. If you do,you'll find out fun they are!!

I used to be like super afraid of coasters too. But I started with smaller coaster and and then to a little bit bigger and scarier one. And then now I'm too like the biggest and baddest coaster at the amusement parks. For me I close my eyes and it helps a lot also screaming like crazy really helps. Plus there really isn't anything to be afraid of, roller coasters super safe.

You just have to make yourself do it. I used to be afraid of rollercoasters too but you see all the people getting on and having a blast plus you see all the little kids that like them too so you psyche yourself into thinking that you cant be afraid of something little kids can do. I dont LOVE them now but they are fun. I can't ride them as much as some people can though cause I'll get sick.

I used to have this same problem. The only thing you can do is just do it. Take someone with you who can hold your hand. Maybe start with something small. Then don't think the scary stuff. Stand in line. Sit in the seat. Get strapped in. And just have fun. Also, screaming really loud makes everythint better.

i think a lot of ppl have had this problem and i also used to be one of them that had the problem...ill tell you this much i was in cold sweats when i got on the first time...you just got to tell yourself that nothing scares you and take on the persona cus if you dont youll never go on one....just do it...because all in all they arent as bad as you think. they arent scarey at all......im a roller coaster freak now and you wouldnt be able to keep me off from them its hard to believe i missed out on it for so long...dont be like me get it done and over with and enjoy cus you will go nuts over them after you finally start riding them. by the way dont close your eyes because youll never enjoy it the way it was intended and it becomes a very bad habit and youll always miss out on that asspect and have yet another thing you have to get over just to enjoy roller coasters.

someone else asked this same question about two weeks ago.
Stand on the ground and watch the coaster. Keep telling yourself that it is perfectly safe. that it will stay on the track. tell your self that while watching. this will give you the mental start that you will need to go through with riding it. good lick to ya.

It's human nature to loathe those things! Ever since the first poor, primate fell out of a tree..we've HATED heights...and falling, unless we're blithering IDIOTS who lack adrenaline!
...Besides, look how many poor slobs have had their heads chopped off while standing up, hooting like morons, or just plain fallen out of those death traps!
