Do those high pitch ringtones actually work?

I've seen commercials on tv, but when it plays the ringtone I can't hear it, can anyone else hear this, and if you can is it loud enough to hear if your phone is like in your pocket.

as you get older, you lose degrees of hearing ability. so either age, raves, or rock concerts, will disable your ability to hear them.

hmm, sometimes i do hear it, sometimes i don't.
