Check for the houses listed on state and main street in monticello, illinois. (Piatt County). I work through a nursing agency at a nursing home on on of these streets and their homes have history dating back to the early 1800's and are still standing, in excellent condition, good records have been kept on the history of the families that owned them. One of the homes is for sale in the million dollar range sits on alot of acres, an d has a large number of square footage. Hope this helps!
