My dad is but he works in Iraq right now. And for that reason he makes more. The salary range of jobs over there is 60,000-100,000 but they are compensating you for the danger you are putting yourself in. I am not sure about the job opportunities here but it shouldn't be bad.

If you are interested in a job overseas try L-3 communications. There is a high demand for interpreters to work with the military because of the war.
