Some people talk as if all poorer people are dirty and slummish
(if I may) and not caring. I see the same things in poor neighborhoods as in working-class ones, (i.e. mothers walking kids to school, kids riding bikes, walking dogs, sweeping pavements, cutting grass, rushing to work, and whatever other people do). There is a lot of crime in these neighborhoods which means there are a lot of victims in these neighborhoods.

Thailand is a pretty poor place still, but everyone washes every day - they are very clean, no matter how poor you are, you find a way.

i agree. well there are many impoverish people here but they are not that dirty or slummish... yes, some are dirty or slummish but u cant blame them coz they dont have enough money to buy new clothes. What they have is enough for their daily neccesities esp food. Its a sad truth but some people eat only once a day coz what they have is not enough.

They are not dirty, they are perceived to be dirty because they do most of the unimaginable tasks that rich people would not dare to do.
