no its just alcohol but we as people have made beer a right of passage for being social or being friends. i grew up watching my dad drink beer like water and getting drunk off it daily and i thought boy i cant wait til i get to have a beer . the first time i stole one from dads cooler and hid away til no one was around and then turned it up and chugged . dang it was the worst tasting nasty crap i ever put to my lips . what in the wide world of sports makes these idiots drink this stuff was what i thought and why do they say boy that's good for . i am 45 and i still hate beer and the taste is sick but i do drink if I'm with others that offer but i hate it . Ive learned to with stand the taste until meeting is over . if i want to get drunk i drink 151 and coke it tastes bad but is quick and takes less time to get there. millions love beer lol maybe I'm crazy here but how many of them are lying about the taste.
