Yes I have already started and have bought 4 presents so far. I bought my brother a fireman ornament. For my friend Michelle I bought her 2 Ice Skating ornaments. For my friend Karen-I bought her a Santa Claus ornament. For my friend Isabelle-I bought her a horse calendar at the Dollar Tree since she loves horses.

So, I still have some shopping to do, and should be finished hopefully by the middle of November. That way I can concentrate on Doing my Christmas Cards, Wrapping my gifts and having everything done by the first week of December so I can enjoy the holidays.

I usually spend too much on Christmas-I have 4 children, 10 grandchildren, my husband, and 3 friends that I buy for AND we buy a live tree each year. The tree price has escalated to $50. This year, we are both retired and have had a lot of medical expenses so my gift costs and quantity will have to be drastically downsized-not sure how all will take it!
I have started buying a few things-where everyone used to receive half a dozen gifts, I've reduced it to 3 and spent less. I also have 4 birthdays in Nov and Dec and try to shop for those gifts also. I will now spent $10 to $15 on each friend, $30 on each birthday gift and $30 on each grandchild, $75 on each child and $75 on my husband, if I can keep it down to this. I buy clothing gifts at the mall, books online if I can't find what I want at the mall. I have finished shopping for my daughter-in-law, one granddaughter and have a birthday gift for one son and my daughter. The rest is yet to do-only 11 weeks, you say!!????

Yes, I have started Christmas shopping.
We usually gift our parents with something around the $100.00 limit. We do not gift to siblings & vice-versa - too many of us. This is the first year we will not be gifting to neices & nephews - too many. We will be sending studio photographs of each other's kids in lieu of gift. We are spread out quite a bit & are lucky to see each other once a year. Photos are precious. We host a BIG holiday party at our house every year for our friends. We go all out with great food, good wine & other spirits (& no one drives home they all walk). We probably spend about $150.00-$200.00 each on our kids. Probably the same for each other. We shop online. The kids always get books (amazon.com), gift certificates at favorite personal stores (at the age where mom doesn't know what fashion is), & try to cater to personal wishes (something for their room, etc) where fashion doesn't enter into the picture (mall stores). Hope this helps

When it comes to gift-giving, it is really the thought that counts. Well, I haven't started yet with what I will be giving to friends or families, I thought I want to make it special. For each of my friends, I plan to give them a small party and have an exchange of gifts so that each one of us will be receiving something. I can find a gift in any discount stores so I can get lots of items for many people.

OMG.....i've got already set out the lighting fixtures furniture for the exterior decorations! We only offered a sparkling domicile so I even offered a sparkling ladder final week purely for putting the icicle lighting fixtures furniture i've got offered. i'm unable to WAIT! i've got been accumulating the indoor/outdoors LED mild instruments on after-holiday sales for 3 years now as quickly as we lived in an apartment so i'm unable to look ahead to this often happening Christmas to place them out. desire they shop the electrical powered invoice low. we've a Christmas tree farm close to us and are going to %. out our tree the weekend after Thanksgiving. i admire this time of 12 months!
