Brigham Young University (Provo, Utah) has a good Dance program. A Russian girl who studied Ballet for many years came to Brigham Young to study Ballet, Folk and Ballroom because were great programs. The Ballroom team won international awards, the Folk team tours Europe every summer, same for the Ballet, Ballroom and Traditional dance companies. (Young Ambassadors or Living Legends - Native American Dance) The Cougarettes, which is our "cheer leading" team (they actually specialize in Jazz but do other types of dances too, like Modern, Tap or Ballet at great technique levels) won the nationals many years in a row. The Modern Dance companies go on tours too. The University is pretty cheap and is a great, clean environment. This is a private university sponsored by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. However, you don't have to be a member of the church to attend. There are many non members from all over the world who come and attend here just because it's a good school. You can also receive partial tuition or full tuition scholarships and be on one of the teams. It's a great experience!
