I do not know what they do in the winter months but I know that it stays darker much longer in Alaska than in the 48 states. The suicide rate is therefore higher due to the dark and cold. I guess maybe they plan there death................? I know that sounds morbid but the suicide thing is true. Still I think Alaska is a neat place to visit.

First only boring people become bored. Winter is the time to catch up on indoor activities such as working on web pages, indoor remodeling, planning next summers boat trips, trips south to visit friends and relatives, writing, and so on and so on. Alaskans are a tough breed and we do not let the weather or the lack of sunshine stop us from enjoying the great outdoors.

They hunt for seal, go fishing (by making a hole in the ice), make igloos and drink a lot of spirit to keep them warm.
