Wow. Mr. Turing seems to have gotten it, but many of the rest of you heard a 'whoosh' sound as it went right over their heads. It's a joke, kids. The classic social comment from women is that men are always wrong. I combined this with the old 'if a tree falls in the forest...' adage and bingo. Oh well, perhaps it's a generational thing....

I think perhaps we needed more clarification for your question?
If someone says something bad it doesn't matter if someone is around to hear it or not. The words have been let out, its just like if you think bad of someone, is it wrong? It all depends on your spirituality. If a person feels speaking bad of another is wrong, then it would be wrong whether anyone heard him or not.
