The deloreon company went out of business after it built it first 1,000 cars. There are only 68 left in the United States that are driven according to RMV how many are actually left who knows there are probably a few tucked away in garages some where considering you can't even buy parts for them you have to have them made. My friends father owns one and he can't find parts any were

There is currently a company based in Humble, TX called the DeLorean Motor Company. They have no connection to John DeLorean or the original company.

They are in the business of re-building exising DMC-12s. They have also aquired the original unassembled parts from the original manufacturer and assemble rebuilt DMC-12s from these parts.

The delorean company no longer exists but it used to be GM owned

i own a repair shop,,and the answer is right now its not even a car company any more, its been out of business for a long time,and the rights to it still belong to the delorean name though,but as far as actually being a car company it isn't any more but there are still parts available for them ,but they are very few and very expensive,,good luck i hope this help,s.

The Delorean Motor Company (DMC) no longer exists. It folded in 1982.

Went under when John Delorean was arrested on coce charges. They are /were great cars back then, made of stainless steel.
