my frend got a mail frm this bank regarding some lottery winnings..i checked out this name bank giro loterij, it claims to be sponsored by top software companies..does any body hv a clue as to how real this is?

Its a scam, they are just trying to get your information so they can steal your identity.

Don't trust any of those things. I get several of them a week (even in my inbox)..... I don't open them, just delete. Your friend will probably be getting tons of spam if he/she opened it.
Can't wait until someone finds a way to opt out of receiving spam email. Got the telemarketers and the junk postal mail off my back now. One to go. :)
