did you know the aclu bunch are supporters of it too. the mind set I'm refering too? Well, there are some left wingers out their that truly believe incarcerating criminals is in itself inhuman. That prisons are barbaric and people shouldnt go there. Now they do say they believe for murder and treason people should go to prisons but that's it. When asked in a public debate, what about the other crimes? what should be done to them. The aclu lefto pinko commies response? Fines! fine them. so what fine is the amount for a rapist? how do you measure that? Also, if fines are the way what if these crooks dont pay? what do you do then? Remember now Aclu also supports n.a.m.b.l.a. an organization of pedophiles fighting for the right to have "consensual" sex with kids under 10 yrs old. You left wingers why not reveal your true colors?

l am not a left winger and have never heard of a person who think like that. But l have heard right wing christian concervatives say that the only person who should be able to punish a person is god. Kinda sound crazy to me.

Your question has a false premise in it - so I'm not really sure where to go from there.
If you believe that the left-wing thinks that prisons should be absolished, then you believe things to be true that simply aren't.
Maybe read some books.....other than just one, ya know?
Also- the ACLU has come to the support of both Rush Limbaugh & Sean Hannity in their own situations in the past. The idea that the ACLU is a pinko/commie organization is a myth propagated by Bill O'Reilly. What IS true is that the neocons wish to turn this country into something it is not - and that is a country where the U.S. Constitution becomes inconvenient in places. Therefore, when the ACLU gets involved - it appears to be mostly attacking neocon positions....not because the ACLU is inherently liberal....but because the neocons are inherently anti-Constitution.
Your thinking is 100% backwards on this.
Maybe put down the Kool Aid & do some real research on the subject rather than just regurgitating what some TV/radio personalities have ingrained in you.
