After what George Bush has done I think it will be a long time before another Republican is elected as President. and I predict that this November the Democrats will get control once again.

G. W. Bush has created such a sour taste for the Republican party, same as Nixon did after Watergate. The Dems and Repubs play hopscotch. Sure, it'll probably bounce back in time. It'll be awhile until we recover from this administration, but when our wounds are not so fresh, people will forget the pain and vote Republican again. Its alittle like having a baby.

30 days is a long time. And the RNC still has an enormous war chest for a last minute 10 day blitz of ads leading up to November 7. The DNC has pretty much depleted theirs except for the remaining budget.
Watch out for the ads touting the strong economy and importance to stay the course. Plus the Democrats have been saying they need to increase taxes, so that will wind up in the GOP ads. And the GOP faithful and most likely a good portion of the independents will buy it.

Don't underestimate the religious right in this country. The democrats continue to underestimate the voting power of the religious right and still do not attempt to get their votes.
Democrats need to somehow convince the middle class traditional families that going to war is not a christian virtue. Traditional families in this country has been brainwashed by the religious right. If you look at the virtues of the religious right, it isn't very christian. Religious majorities throughout history are not true followers of the teachings of Christ.

The Repubs have to become more moderate. If they do, they can bounce back. Right now, the party is controlled by a scary right-wing religious brand of conservatism. The center has been silenced. This needs to change if the GOP is to thrive in the future.
