I read at babycenter.com and other books that there is no reason to wait after quiting the pill...also for some people you are your most fertile right after getting off the pill because your cycle is regulated. I wouldn't wait and would go for it right away. Good luck to you and your husband.

You need to be careful, women who are coming off the pill have a higher rate of conceiving twins, as well as older women.

You are able to get pregnant, in fact more women are having babies at older maternal ages. You will just need to be aware that the older you are the more risks are involved especially for the baby, you will most likely be given prenatal bloodtests for downsyndrome, spinabifida etc. The older the eggs the more riskier it is.

I started trying right away and got pregnant after two months. My sister-in-law got pregnant the very next month after going off the pill. I've heard you're supposed to wait a few months, but it can take that long to get pregnant so why bother? Start asap

It wouldn't hurt to try right away, but being on the pill for that long could mean waiting at least 6 months before your body even starts ovulating normally again. I was on the depo-provera shot for 6 years and got off of it a year ago, and still nothing. Good luck!

Most docs suggest quitting the pill 3 months before trying to conceive so that they can accurately date your pregnancy from your LMP.

I just know that you're supposed to wait a few months after stopping the pill before TRYING to become pregnant, presumbly to allow your system to get back to normal.

yes because the pills can cause damage to the baby if you get pregnant so if you are sexually active get off the pills because having sex with the pills will cause damage to.
