I am so confused with the season premiere of LOST. What is going on and where are they and who are all those people keeping them in prison?!?

Did you not see season one or two?
Here's my short version: A Plane crashes on a island, two groups of survivors find ways to survive and eventually come together as one group. Meanwhile the people who were already on the island, The Others, are not eager to make friends. They kidnap and torture the plance crash survivors. Also the island was a lot of other random weird stuff going on.
The whole point of the show is that nobody knows what is going on.

i'm!!!!!!!!! LOL i found out the different day that i'm extra excited for the season premiere of lost than i became for Christmas! Me and my superb pal who additionally loves lost are having a lost social gathering finished with a lot of junk nutrition :)
