This site is a joke. If you post a question that someone doesn't like, it gets violated. If you have a question up that's proving to be unpopular, it gets removed from the section it was on, but still remains on your questions and answer page, forcing you to to resolve it.
I thought that this was a forum for the sharing of ideas, but apparently to the Nazis at Yahoo, it's only the questions they like, and deem appropriate, that get posted and are allowed to stay up.

Okay, we've established that it's privately owned, but does that make it right that they stifle the free flow of ideas? We're not talking about pornography, here.

This is a tightly control question/answer site own by a private company. There is no guarantee of free speech on a private site.

It's not written anywhere that a private business has to allow anything. Yahoo is trying to compromise between giving people a place to share ideas and making it somewhat family friendly. If you want to have a place where anything can be said by anyone, you are free to setup your own site

Welcome to globalization! This site is worldwide so what does "American tradition" have to do with anything? This is a business. They're in it to make as much money as possible which is the only "American tradition" they're concerned with.

Nazi tactics would be to force you to do something. There's no force here...you're free to either follow the rules, or go somewhere else. Your arguments would be valid if they we were dealing with the government, but you can't expect the same rules to hold true of private corporations. At most jobs you can't just say anything, right? There are rules for speech and conduct for which you will be fired if you break them. It's the same principle here.
Holly, it sounds like you're just looking for someone who agrees with you. If we don't, then you call us all "sheep". Seems you need to take a hard look at yourself if just about everyone from a wide range of backgrounds and locations disagrees with you. Something may be wrong with your point-of-view.

The Absurd response of Yahoo being a Private company is insignificant. Yahoo utilizes the Public Domain of the Internet, and therefore must comply with the Free Speech rights of the American people, enforced by the FCC. My advice is, if you feel serious enough about it, file a complaint with the FCC, and get others to do it. Enough complaints and Yahoo will be slapped with heavy fines, and can possibly have their privilege to operate in the Public Domain revoked.

Yahoo Answer provide a lot of free speech.
Go to Search for questions and search for
'make your computer think its in the USA'
And you can see a lot of people bashing USA on a 'computer question'. And yahoo allow them.
With answer like.....
....I couldn't be that cruel, not even to a machine, to think it's in anyway associated with America, God forbid!! ......
......Unless you wanted it to start invading and/or carpet bombing innocent countries .......
Remember the question is about computer and in the 'computer' section. So nothing to do with politic. If you think they violate the rule, you can report them.

Get over it.....you tick people off and they report you. it takes more than 1 person and more than 1 complaint (usually).

This isn't a government created website. It is a privately owned company, they can do what they want.
Make your own site if it bothers you that much.
