You don't have to be religious, or even theist to be spiritual.

You're a Christian aren't you?

Atheists can be just as interested in religious topics as theists. I myself study various aspects of religion. R&S isn't a place only for religious people to ask each other questions (and further delude themselves) but a place where anyone can discuss topics related to R&S.

Look, atheism isn't a religion but it deals with the same subject matter. Think if it as the Matrix... Religious folks are stuck in the matrix. It's a blissful place to be sure, but is it reality? Atheists have escaped the matrix but we know what the matrix is all about. We've seen it from the inside and the outside and we want to talk about it.

That is all.

Wow. You think R&S is an area for the religious and the spiritual to have a place to chat? No, genius. This is a discussion site. It is a place for us to go and ask/answer questions about various topics. Perhaps you think the 'movies' section is only for people who work in film? Someone didn't take their clear-thinking pills this morning...

P.S. Since we were all born with no religious beliefs, 'converting' a believer would actually be 'reverting' a believer back to their natural born state.
