I have notiiced when im hanging out with my friends.. or even just observing people they always act something else. Like say me and friends we are very immature beause we like to have fun. But when my friends are talking to preps they all like nananana.. Yeah what kind of lip gloss do you use. Stuff like that. Me and friends dont really like ( only some) preps because the ones at my school think they are better then everything one else. Im sorry if that offends anyone ( I know not all preps are like that) But when my friends are with me they are cool like but, then all stuck up. And my brother always ingores me when he sees me in public because he is to cool for me. And his friends are the same way. I dont know why people are the way they are but, do get what I mean?? Can you relate in any way? What do you think of them? People shouldnt have to act a different way to fit in with a differetn group of people.. if you get what I mean. Hopfully I made sense.

You do make sense. Sounds like you are a lot smarter and more mature than your friends. They are so desperate to fit in and be thought "cool" that they end up acting the fool to get noticed. Your brother ignoring you in public is because he's a guy, and he's so afraid someone is going to think he's "soft" if he treats his sister like a person. They're all pretty childish if they think acting stupid makes them look smart. I really can relate to this; in highschool I had a friend I thought was my best friend but if other of her friends were around she would ignore me or "joke" and make fun of me. I finally dumped that "friendship" when I realised she was just using me to get to know my brother.
Observe other people around you; maybe you can find some friends who don't have to pretend so much.

Yeah I get you. People are just scared to be judge differently. I'm very immature at times like in school some people see me as the class clown, but sometimes I'm quiet because well I need to get down to business and finish my work. I have to admit some people think I'm stupid by the way I act so at times I have to show that I do know right from wrong. I have this friend who is very immature, but when he goes and talks to the skaters or the preps he acts different and I think what the **** is going on? That's why I think that people act different because they are scared what others might think or say about them.People can be shallow and stupid at the same time. Not me I like to be myself and do my everyday things. Since your suppose to be yourself, so others can know who you are. Being yourself is what gets you real friends so keep on doing what you do girl, aight? Peace out!

Don't change for what others expect.

People, especially teens, want to be liked so they change their personality to adapt to the people they are around. To be what they think those people want them to be.

the reason why people do that is because they want to fit in with everyone. i can"t stand when people like that.

People do this because they are insecure. Plain and simple - it's a confidence problem.
