simple........
he has had so much success.he hasa beat all the drivers out there numorous times.
u take a die hard earnhardt fan,he will typically not like gordon because he has beaten earnhardt so much.i cant remember exactlly when he started in the cup series but all he needs is one more win to tie earnhardt.
with that success it really tees other people off that root for other drivers.

i personnally dont root for gordon(i am earnhardt fan),but that is just what i think about the question u asked.
(dont be mad at me earnhardt people)

The main thing I dislike about Jeff is his attitude. He thinks that the rest of the drivers should just move out of the way and let him go by just because he is a 4 time champion. Look at this season, he has complained about his own teammates racing him hard and not letting him go by. I'm sorry but his teammates have every right to try and go for the win.

He acts as if people should bow down to him and that he does nothing wrong. For example, when he wrecked Matt Kenseth at Chichagoland that was just a racing deal but if someone so much as puts a scratch on his car then that driver did it on purpose and Nascar needs to park that driver.

His attitude is the main reason why people dislike him so much. He doesn't get as much respect as drivers such as Mark Martin, Tony Stewart, Dale Jr because of his attitude.

I don't boo when the drivers wreck because that is extremely wrong. We have lost one too many drivers due to wrecking.

This will probably take the weirdest answer ever award, but here is my answer. The reason I don't like Jeff Gordon is...

Jimmie Johnson

I don't like anyone who is willing to make a push to put that mouthy, arrogant,no talent hack into a top Cup car and then run his mouth. If JJ was fired tomorrow, and Jeff Gordon came out and said that having JJ as a teammate was a bad thing, I would root for Gordon again.

Not everyone hates him. He IS one of the most famous drivers in Nascar. I think more people hate Tony Stewart than Jeff Gordon. I like them both OK, but I'm a true blue Kasey Kahne fan.

Because he's a pretty boy schmuck who thinks that everybody, including his teammates, should bow down to him and kiss his feet. Especially when the commentators make a big deal about him not winning a race or finally winning a pole this year, they make is sound like it's one big drought. It's not a big deal, there are people who haven't won races period, or people who haven't won in WAY more races than he has. Now my problem with him is when he said that Vickers(his teammate til next year) should have just let him go since he's in the chase. Screw him, that guy's racin for a win just as much as you are, and he hasn't won period. He's hungry and has nothing to lose cause he's not in it. So, that's why I don't care for him. Besides, I was an Earnhardt fan. I'm programmed to hate Gordon.

I respect Gordon as a driver...they guy can drive a racecar! But Evernham was the brains behind his early success.
**It is his attitude that drives me insane...its a smug..arrogant, whiny,,,uuugh...yuck....Jimmie Johnson has same attitude thing goin on...cant really put my finger on it....its..just...ewwwww

I like all nascar drivers except for them and robbie gordon. I love the sport and the comradery (sp?) with the drivers off the track.

Gordon is a whinner that thinks he is the greatest. He is a good driver but he is not the greatest. He wants to be the driver spokesman but he only wants to if he feels it will benefit him.He will whine to the media and NASCAR to get his way.

1) He's a little whiny cry baby.

2) He'll spin you out when ever he feels like it.

3) He thinks that everyone on the track should pull over for him.

4) He's a horrible teammate.

All of the Hendrick guys act like this except Vickers. I'm glad Brian is leaving Hendrick, he's the only normal one there!
I don't cheer when he wrecks, that's cruel.

Well I think that is poor sportmanship on the fans part. But I can see where they are coming from. Just because he has 7 championships, he thinks he is king of the race track. And another reason is because, he acts like a self-centered jerk. He thinks about his self, and winning at whoevers expense. That's not a real race car driver.
