Hello, im a college freshman and am gearing towards fulfilling with 3 semesters of a foreign language. I chose french because I had taken Spanish in High School; I already knew spanish so it was an easy A. However french is a different story. The class is french 101 and im having trouble getting it all. The first chapter consisted of learning the endings such as -E, -ES, -E, ...etc,among other things. The second chapter was learning number, telling time, and all these new words and sentence structures. There was a midterm on those two chapters and i studied hard, even though i felt i learned nothing at all. I luckly received a B but it was a low B. And i'm an all A's student. Now were are on chapter 3 and 4 with a midterm coming up soon, which consists of all these other things i have no clue about. The book is Contacts. Everyone in my class knows a bit of french as they all enrolled for an easy A but i have no clue at all and wish to learn the language, but right now earn that A++++

Hello. Do you have a workbook to go with your text?
If you do, work everything in it to death!
Then go over your work again.
Right now I'm tutoring someone who is using
that book and it's not the easiest one in the world,
so keep working. It will come.
Also, look for some beginning websites that
might help you out.
Try french.about.com for lots of help
Bonne chance!

Of direction it is tricky. All languages are. Don't be so difficult on your self. English is a language stuffed with regulations and simply as many exceptions-such a lot of that individuals fluent in English nonetheless discover it tricky to maintain up. But do not fear, I'm certain you are making improvements to if you are making the hassle.
