Do our eyes breathe?

Does wearing glasses all the time hamper eyes from breathing properly? Please tell me all the scientific details you can.

wearing glasses does not hamper eyes from breathing properly, because there is no direct contact and ecompassing of the eyes with glasses. Contact lenses hamper this breathing process however, since the lense covers the eye and limits the amount of air that can pass through the lense. I hope this helped!

Glasses aren't a problem. But contacts can be.

I couldn't wear hard leses because they didn't allow enough oxegen through. I was initially recommended gas-permeable & then soft lenses.

no not really trust me like blind people they don't see our eyes don't breathe but they need air like blind people go to the doctor and the doctor puts air in there airs i wear contacts and it's good your eyes don't breathe if our eyes breathed us people who put contacts won't be able to put our fingers in our eyes to take the contacts in and out sometimes contacts limit the air to your eyes so you put drops in them when i do wear my glasses air seems to go to my eyes like when i go out side and stuff so your fine it's the way of thinking like when putting contacts in somtimes we think deffenrent the brain makes you think something else so you tend to go with your brain like i use to be afraid to even touch my eye now my brain adjected to it i'm fine.well i hope i answered your question

Glasses do not restrict oxygen to your eyes.

You may want to ask a optometrist that question. I couldn't find a definite answer on-line.
