I LOVE this storyline! I think his artwork might even be better than in Kingdom come, and the villians certainly brought their "A" game this time. I'm wondering they can possibly resolve Hal Jordan's dilemma. I'm not sure that it really takes place outside the mainstrem DC universe, from what I'm reading, everything seems to be part of what led to Infinite Crisis?

I agree, the long long wait between issues hurts it, the impact is lessened somehow.

It is interesting.

Anything Alex Ross does is usually A+ material. There is just something a little sub-par about it... it is like it trys too hard to be different but harps on things that they've already done.
Unfortunately too much time passes between issues. And since it takes place outside of the mainstream DCU it is more or less just an interesting read. i'd give it a B-.

Agreed, Mark Waid is fantastically lots unbeatable. I additionally think of Mark Millar (Ultimates) and Jim Krueger's (Justice) efforts are flat-out superb. Kurt Busiek's paintings on Marvels, and Walt Simonson's Thor run stay present day-day classics. As a johnny-come-recently to the comedian e book medium, i for my area like Joss Whedon's writing for dazzling X-adult males. on the different end of the dramatic spectrum, i'd desire to supply props to the team of Keith Giffen and J.M. DeMatteis for their matchless insanity of the "Bwah hah hah" era Justice League... That stuff is invaluable!
