Shouldn't that be standard procedure with anyone who does this? Isn't this at all similar to an online predator?

Yes , that "is" an on line predator, and yes he should be arrested! I don't care who it is, what they do for a living, if they are doing what that idiot is doing, he should go to prison! After all, the law doesn't state that a person will go to prison for being an online predator "unless" you work for Government or the state, right? But I find it disgusting and truly amazing that money and position "do" hold some sort of phoney importance in this world. We spend more tax dollars taking care of the very people who have hurt, and continue to hurt the children of our world. I pray for these children and their families who are effected "by" these sick predators.

The FBI had previously investigated and found that the emails they had been given had nothing that would constitute a crime.
As opposed to Gerry Studds who took minors out of the country without parental permission (in loco parentis does not apply) and had sex with minors.

he most likely will be arrested under a Calif. law
but money will keep him out of a real prison.

No, he won't. Odds are, he'll be put in rehab because it wasn't his fault. It was his alcoholism, which he had no control over. And also, of course, he's a homosexual, and all homos do stuff like that, right. (yeah right)
