i am connected to wireless but internet pages will not open.?

i have disabled the firewall and it still does not work, and it is not the anitvirus. the connection is also strong and connected

Try disabling encryption in your router to see if your connection works. From experience it is very likely to be your problem so if it works without encryption then follow the router's and the wireless adaptor's manuals to match the two and you'll be in business.

Note that you should start by updating your wireless adaptor's driver with the latest one from the manufacturer's web site (laptop manufacturer if ad apter is built-in).
