I have the ip add 217.146.182.45 anyone who can identify origin of email created using my name?

I now have the ip address of the person sending me hate mail they have used my name to create their email address the ip is 217.146.182.45 is there any computer genious out there who can trace ecactly where this email is being sent from physical address

Looks like that subnet belongs to an organization called RIPE in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, perhaps yahoo in the Netherlands. Keep in mind that with SMTP mail, it is incredibly easy to spoof an IP address and make it look like mail came from somewhere besides where it actually came from.

Also, since most ISP's these days assign a different IP to you when you make a connection, the last digits of it will probably change but the first digits won't so you can identify the ISP but probably not the specific user. If this is a criminal act you may be able to get the help of the ISP in identifying the user to the police but probably not to you personally. Good luck.
