Hon, there is a lot of very bad silly information floating around, spread by those who are very ignorant of just about anything real in life. NO, very few gays have been molested. It is a very sad statement, but MOST rapes and child molestations are against defenseless little girls by twisted straight men. These little girls are left with serious scars they carry throughout their lives. Child molestation is NOT a GAY or STRAIGHT issue, it is a pedophilia issue that needs to be address in the strictest terms...LIFE imprisonment with no hope of parole, OR death...few, if any pedophiles are EVER cured...EVER!

There is no correlation between being gay and having been raped as a child. From personal experience, I was never molested in any way, much less raped. Hey, we are not all that vulnerable and easy prey either.

Another fact mostly overlooked, especially by women, is that most boys are not so vulnerable to be seriously hurt by someone trying to get some sexual preasure off them. I really think that many women dont realise the difference - boys are different from girls - we are not effected in the same way. Just like many women cant understand why boys/men like boxing/ or like watching boxing and blood and all that; hey, we are different.

No, that is not true from what I have read. Most people that are Homosexuals claim it is a inner "Feeling" something they new from early on. Just recently on the news some scientists stated that a gene has been found in homosexual people that is not found in heterosexual people.
Abuse is a terrible thing. A lot of times an abused person will do the same thing that was done to them as children even though it is wrong. That goes for straight and gay people, not just one group.

Well... you have to understand that people come in this forum a lot and say that gays are perverts who were raped as children and liked it, and all sorts of crazy stuff, so we tend to get a little defensive... now, to answer your question- no, most gays were not raped as children, there is nothing wrong with our mental stability, and- if anyone is wondering- we do not want to rape kids... i hope that answers your question...

No, most gays weren't raped as kids. I wasn't and I am 100% lesbian!! :D I think you ask questions that we have answered before though. Maybe look through the resolved questions and see what we have and haven't answered next time.

FYI- Most people who come on here are insulting and rude towards us, so we generally just get tired of being nice and decide to return the favor. We aren't mean, just tired of being judged and generalized.

For goodness sake don't take something you heard down your local bar on a Saturday night as the truth. Where do you get ideas like this? Surely not from reading any case studies, sociological or demographic research.

If you can point me to any research paper that substantiates your claim, I'd be delighted (and amazed).

No, that's not true at all.
In real studies there has been a correlation found between those who were abused as children becoming child abusers as adults, but that has nothing to do with being gay.

Don't let Mark Foley's "excuses" for his bad behavior make you think that it applies to everyone.
