yah that happened with mine too well with mine it skipped most of the songs and then only played a few well what you should do is just reset it and then put everything back on it thats what I did and now it works!

a lot of times it depends on how old your ipod is the hard drive will start quiting after a few years it happened with my 3rd generation 15gb ipod and it would freeze up all the time and songs would not upload

let it die and the re charge it again and it should be ok or try turning it off for a while then turn it back on again....or go to apple.com and e-mail them your question
