im pretty excited about it but i think that the name is really stupid revolution was a much better name. the controller seems like it could be decent and simple to use for games. ps3 looks better but the price isnt worth it. i would take the wii over the ps3

i am SO excited. i cannot wait. i am getting ready to preorder. the big challenge is deciding what game to purchase that day. i'm torn between marvel ultimate alliance and Zelda.
the reasons the Wii is so awesome are:
1. cheap price point. a very big selling point when considering parents
2. innovating games. this could seriously change videogames forever. imagine pinpoint accuracy in forst person shooters. or you movements being translated onto a mario or zelda games.
3. good, strong third party support. Ubisoft went crazy announcing all these Wii games its developing. All these other developers are linging up, or showing interest.
4. graphics. yeah its no ps3, but its not $600 either. its actually very nice looking, and have you seen Zelda? wow.
what you have to understand is the purpose fot the wii. nintendo said its not directly competeing with sony/microsoft. yes it actually is, but its a broader narket. it wants to bring new gamers in. and with a cheap pricepoint and easy to use controls, i'm sure it will.
graphically its not ps3 or xbox 360, but its not meant to be. if it included all the things the other two consoles do, then that would defeat the purpose of it being cheap and easy.
i am super excitied about nintendo's latest offering.

I'm not sure about the name but I would definetly buy it. My young nieces and nephew love the Mario games and I'm looking forward to the new Zelda game as well.

Me too! I can't wait to play Legend Of Zelda : Twilight Princess! And I can't wait to download all my old favorite NES, SNES, N64, and Sega games!

Nope. Can't play DVD's, dumb name, (Revolution was MUCH better), dumb controller, no great third party software support.... PS3 for me.
