Yea, there was just no finishing but well they played better than Scotland.

I agree.
A draw would have been a more logical outcome given how the Scots played. Anyway, that’s over now. It wasn’t exactly what I would call an elegant win but the Scots had the breaks, the homecrt advantage obviously worked for them, and so they won.
My only consolation is that no matter how desperately the French had to score and how crowded out they were, they stuck to their elegant play and that makes them the better team in my opinion.

Does this mean that Scotland should have lost in the WC finals to Italy instead of France?
