I am somewhat computer ignorant well more than somewhat can someone help!I am not even sure what to list this question under.

well no probs .....windows hotfix is a software or utility that microsoft gives out to fix a problem(hackers use this problem to get into ur system or it can be a case where the fault is coming in way of someother legtimate process) in the operating system(windows xp,98,me,2000,nt) well hope i have answered ur question and oh get ur computer updated with all the hotfixes microsoft has issued have a nice day

i use to have windows hotfix and it did not do anything for me...i was having trouble with the media player and it did not help at all..i have even had later versions of the media player and i still do not know what is wrong with it...i took it to a computer guy and he says i need a new tower...cause things start to load but i guess there is not enough power to run it.....but windows hotfix did nothing what so ever....

hotfix is just a name for an update. it has already being used. its just a small program installed to fix a potential problem

hotfix repairs any errors in windows. it will alert you if something happens and it will fix it.

that is just a windows update that came with the windows auto updates you dont use it at all
