Hey everybody, I’M ON LEVEL 4, but my parents “don’t care if I’m at Level 7 & on the ledgerboard under Raju!” My lil brother Darius has no interest in Yahoo Answers cuz he’s in the Marines with “better things to do,” & my cousin Garrett replied “CYRUS, I DON’T GIVE A S*** ABOUT YOUR YAHOO POINTS!” when I emailed him the link to my profile on here to say I’d reached Level 4. So why is it that nobody besides my competitive G.F. Iris (she’s a higher Level 4) seems to give a rat’s about Yahoo points? I mean, wouldn’t you feel just a LITTLE intimidated, like maybe your opinions weren’t as important, if, let’s say, around Christmas you were between me & Iris on a Houston metro-rail train knowing you were at Level 1 while we’d both graduated to 6 or 7 (not that we ever will) by then? Be honest, doesn’t EVERYBODY look up to those people who have a green border around their Avatar because they’re on the ledgerboard? I miss that bold Level # under my name, so how come NOBODY CARES ABOUT POINTS?

You KNOW we can't do anything to get ourselves suspended because after racking all these points, we would NEVER start up again at Level 1 with just 101 points! That would be too humiliating to us, so we could NEVER start allover again after a hard fall like that!!!

uhh, it's just yahoo answers. you ask a dumb question, and some weirdo's that you don't know give you their opinions. you only graduate to higher levels by answering questions. it has nothing to do with ones opinions mattering more.
i'm uber competitive, but not here. yeah, it's cool to see that you earned some points and maybe helped someone out, but i'm not going top start stalking my friends on here and think "oh no! Joanna has 63 more points than i do! but Emily is 230 behind me! ha!"
no one cares about points because they are not going to get you anything. even if you have highest number of points on here, you aren't going to find "the one" or land the best job or win the lottery or even get a nice little plaque saying you have the most points. and everyone who sees that you have the most points will probably think you have no life and will make no attempt to even contact you. so nobody will even think to themselves, wow, that guy is so cool. he sits at home and answers random questions all day. what a guy. i wanna be just like him.

Points are good...not that I have many but I'm hoping to be as great as you one day. I mean I'm still on level one but i've just started. I do check out others points and am amazed at how many alot of you have. the ones who don't care about the points just don't have a clue. I will be so excited just to make level 2.

Maybe your family thinks you could have used the time you spent, in front of the computer, getting to level 4, for something a little more productive.

My family doesn't get it either :) I just want to make it to 7. I wan't to do it now, my parents have high speed. My husband in the US has dial up and it takes so long :)
