I don't think that's true, but men through out history and now even some women have been raised to be providers so money becomes important, money is important to pay for a child's schooling etc. also to save up for retirement unless you want to work at grocery store when your 70.

I really really dont wanna sound mean, but man these questions that always generalize a whole sex,race,religion,country or whatever kill me.I am a man and I definitely dont think it's all about money.My kids are the most important thing in my life.I work to make sure they are comfortable but I refuse over time because I have a strict "family time" policy and my bosses know it.My ex-wife was all about the money but that doesn't make me think ALL women are.

because they have the idea that you have to have money before you can support a family. The only problem is that most men become obsessed with it wanting to provide more and more. Specifically if the wife spends alot of it or gives off the impression that she expects alot of brand names and expensive items.

Because I guess that was the way they were taught. Also because they are usually selfish and well just an all around A S S HOLE! I must say there are also very few men that bring their family first and my dad was one of them.
