My Immortal, by Evanescence.
Besides the great sound of this band, and the angelic voice of lead singer Amy Lee, this song was released around the same time that my son was born, and sadly passed two days later.
I brings to mind that I can't handle the pain of his loss, but I wouldn't trade that pain for all the peace in the world. Although he was only here a short time, I was allowed to watch another human being fight for his life, and when he was gone, that was it, but he never really left. Now, two years later, my wife and I still feel his loss as sharply as when it happened. The joy he created is worth every minute of pain that we have endured.

There are so many songs that inspire me that I just can't pick one.
I can narrow it down to a few,"More Than A Feeling"by Boston,"Have A Little Faith In Me"by John Hiatt,"In The Presence Of" by Yes and almost any Christmas song you can think of.

There are a few songs that do get me thinking about life...usually that doesn't happen when I am listening to music but there are those few "powerful" songs that just make you stop and think.
Whitney Houston has one called "My Love Is Your Love". It's a sad song but it gets me thinking!
