Okay, so I'm really not into SciFi, but after SouthPark, Battlestar Glactica was on. They must be running this thing all day. Everytime I turn past the channel, it's there. This is a total B-grade soap opera now. No budget close ups. Lack of special effects. Politics. You get a robot ever 45 min or so. No lasers. They seem to have taken over the world by pen. I'm guessing, marketed in such a way to get more women to watch. But here was my problem...Silons have a conscience? When did the Silons ever fear God? Weird has just gotten weirder.

Judging by your question I will conclude that you haven't seen all the seasons of Battlestar Galactica. I know that I am a little prejudiced because I really like that show and especially the new season but I totally don't agree with you. A B-grade soap opera? That's what I thought when I watched the first episodes of season 1 but since then this show has changed a lot. Starting from a show that I watched only to waste some time now I can't wait to see what happens next in the next episode.

About your question - cylons have always been afraid of God (that's why I concluded that you haven't watched the previous seasons). That's why they started the war on the first place - they thought that humanity lives in sin, that people don't deserve God's love with their aggression and etc. In the new season there are some cylons who realise that the war they were leading was just making them even worse than humans. Some cylons have learned to have feelings and conscience comes with that.

Nothing weird for me but that's just my opinion and my taste for TV shows.

The new BG isn't like the old one at all. I can't stand all the depression and negativity in the new one. The new breed of Cs is suppose to become more and more human. They are clones now.

The Yahweh of old exchange right into a vengeful god supposedly worth of compliment, awe, reverence and concern all in the comparable 2d. The changed Triune god provided in the guy-form Jesus is lovey-dovey and form. Many "older" and generally fundamentalist religions and sects worshipped the "old" smitey god and subsequently linked "god-fearing" with characteristics that they believed in.

Yes it is weird, but they are trying to distance themselves from the original series.

Watch their God be a supercomputer! Ha!
