The US will respond with an urgent quest for "sanctions" Bolton says that if they do test, the next day in North Korea will be completely different. The Big One is going off 60 feet below ground level. The blast could trigger an eartquake. The US is not ready to launch dependable missiles. The whole word waits. All we can hope for is that the missile does not go astray...I imagine.
It looks as though North Korea was not kidding, I'd say.

Not much will happen -- a lot of people will keep on talking, but no-one has the guts to do anything to stop them... yet anyways -- this is the game N. Korea wants to play -- their meglo-maniac leader is an egotistical psychopath and he craves all the attention all this give him -- he doesn't have any interest in the well being of his country or people or in anything other his delusional fantasies of his status as a god-like being.

He's a lot like those cult leaders of those little wacko cult groups that end up committing mass suicide or something, EXCEPT he has a whole country under his power and he is trying very hard to develop functional and deliverable NUKES!!!

I thinks the US and Russia need come to an agreement to make some tactical nuclear strikes on these guys to end this threat to world safety and to teach all the other aspiring nuclear powers what the stakes are in the game they are so eager to play.

I'm no basher of the war in Iraq or Afghanistan, but it kinda makes you wonder why we're fighting there, but we're leaving this guy to carry on and try to trigger a nuclear war.

Not a damn thing. The US and UN will bluster on, and condemn the whole thing. But we've already cut North Korea off from the global community. they are already starving over there. We won't attack, especially if we know they have a working nuclear arsenal. After much rhetoric and blather, the world won't change a bit......... unless that freaky wanna be rock star that's in charge over there starts looking like he'll use nukes against S. Korea, or Japan. At that point we would just launch a few B-2 bombers, and 4 dozen nuclear tipped cruise missiles in there, and erase the whole country.
