READ AND ASK WHO IS THE NEXT FALL GUY B4 BUSH & CHENNY?
WASHINGTON - The latest casualty in the Jack Abramoff lobbying scandal was a key aide to presidential political strategist Karl Rove who once worked for the disgraced influence-peddler.
Susan Ralston stepped down Friday from her post as a special assistant to President Bush. A congressional report showed she had extensive contacts with Abramoff and had accepted tickets to sporting events and concerts from him.
Corruption and scandal are major issues going into the Nov. 7 elections. Ralston's resignation followed accusations that her contacts with Abramoff showed he was closer to Rove and Bush than the White House has been willing to acknowledge.
A recent House Government Reform Committee report listed hundreds of contacts that Abramoff's lobbying group had with the White House. Ralston had been administrative assistant to Abramoff and, after Bush took office, assumed the same post with Rove.

If you have to go back to the greatest president EVER, and try to deflect for the war monger shrub to validate yourself, so be it.
The fact that Bill was investigated for the S&L (with no crime committed) and somehow was questioned weather he got head, only goes to show how low a neo/clown will stoop.
At least when Bill lied (as any guy will, when asked if hes getting any extra) NO NONE DIED!
Do youy get it now idiot?
Guess what, you won't be getting points for best answer, but you do for being a moron.

Rove cheated the hangman on Plame disclosure, but you don't have to be too speculative to think that he is in on hundreds of Federal crimes. And Dumbya would certainly be implicated as well. It just depends on whether the most basic principal of the law applying to all persons still is operative. Down with Dictator Dumbya!!!

Impeachment is less a function of corruption than it is a function of which party controls Congress. Bill Clinton would never have been impeached had the Democrats not lost control of the House in 1994 and 1996. Clinton probably would have been convicted if the Senate makeup was as it is today.

This is IMHO why you see Bush, his cronies and henchmen campaigning and fundraising so hard on behalf of Republican congressmen and senators in the runup to the 2006 election. I hope the Democrats will re-take both houses of Congress on the basis that having a rubber-stamp legislative branch supporting every boneheaded Bush move is not in the best interests of the counrty.

The white house has been back pedaling on its Abramoff connections for a long time. First it was Abramoff has only been here a couple of times, then it was more, and more. Only when forced do they come clean, like in the torture controversy, the wiretaps, the secret prisons, etc ad nauseum.

As long as the GOP controls either the House or Senate, there will be no impeachment.

That is one reason it is imperative to throw the GOP out in November. It's not possible for the government to function properly when we have a president who refuses to comply with the law and a congress that refuses to require him to do so.

Even after November, when the Democrats will finally have a voice, Bush will not be impeached. This is because we know what a monster Cheney is. So it wouldn't be any better.
