I was living in L.A., am single, paying $1,200.00 a month for rent. I bought a house in nearby Boise, Id. I love my new house, but somehow I don't fit in with the people around here. The most of them are rednecks.

Maybe you are going too much for the extremes either way. Is there a reason you moved to Boise besides just finding a house that you loved? Look for a location where you can fit in with the people but you can also afford and love the house. I know it sounds impossible to find but it probably does exsist. Maybe look at a suburb of LA or for another big town away from redneck areas. I personally would much rather live where I love. What's the point of living if you aren't happy, even if you can afford it? Maybe another solution would be just looking deeper where you live for people more like you and you can learn to love Boise? Good luck! By the way, here's a fun website to help you find someplace that meets your needs: http://www.findyourspot.com/

You can only live where you can afford it. Don't get out of ahnd debt if you can't afford a house where you want to live. Is it a nice house, yard? Invite your friends over. Or look for a place you can afford in the area you want but don't go into debt you can't pay.

well you should have spent some time in the town before you bought the house but this all depends on your vaalues. which is more important? living in L.A. where most people are jerks and there is all kinds of traffic and smog, or owning your own home in idaho, where people are more genuine? its up to you which you like better.

You are probably a red neck, too. You just haven't figured it out yet. Live where you can afford it.
