how can i decorate my room for free?

I don't think you could do it for free, unless you already have lots of stuff you can use or someone is willing to give you stuff. I would suggest maybe looking at a local thrift store for things you can use that would be cheap to buy. Like get pillows and fabric and picture frames and different craft items. Then you can go to Home Depot and get some paint, that would make all the difference. Sometimes you can find paint that got mixed the wrong color for $5.

When i didnt have a lot of money and I wanted to redecorate my apartment, I would take things I already had and use them different ways, like old sheets can be new curtains, etc.

you're not going to decorate you're room for free to decorate you have to buy things and to buy thing it requires money that makes it not free

deliver jointly cans, recycle them for money, pass to ace hardware, browse the paint screw up aisle (custom paints made slightly off shade), stumble on a shade you like, bu ya brush, now pass repaint your room.
