The cliffs of Dover.

I guess you mean Dover, whose white chalk cliffs are very well known.

However, Dover is on the at the southern end of the UK, and I am not sure that the tunnels can be described as "secret" as they are part of a wartime museum open to the public.

Of course, they were secret when they were constructed during the war, but that was a long time ago!

The more recently built undersea railway tunnel to France also goes out from the Shakespeare cliffs near Dover.

The 'white' cliffs just east of Dover port, under Dover castle have many bomb-proof tunnels, mostly added when it was used in the 1939-45 war. Some have openings part-way up the cliff, best seen from a cross-channel ferry.

Well during the war the White Cliffs of Dover, to include Hellfire Corner were secret, now they're quite public. Their very freaky to walk around but worth a visit if you're down there.

Ah.. Very Clever..... A trick question!

Anyone giving you an answer stating a famous cliff on the south coast with secret tunnels would by answering, have made their answer wrong!

If anyone knows of secret tunnels within famous cliffs on the south coast, then by identifying them, would make them no longer secret.

Therefore, by not answering your question, the secret tunnels remain secret...... but shhh... don't tell anyone!!
