can some maths genius tell me the difference between A being three times MORE likely than B and A being three times AS likely as B? (Yes, I'm stuck on statistics homework...) Thanks.

Probability of A is three times more likely than B.
is
Prob of A > 3x that of B

or

Probability of A is three times as likely than B.
is
Prob of A = 3x that of B

A 3 times AS likely than B- 3A : B
A 3 times MORE likely than B - 4A : B

A is 3 times as likely as B means P(A)=3P(B).

A is 3 times more likely than B: P(A)-P(B)=3P(B), so P(A)=4P(B).
