Um...
1. Save your Microsoft Word.
2. Put a blank CD in the CD tray.
3A. If it's Recordable CD, it must have no files at all. Otherwise, it's useless. And once you saved it to this kind of CD, you'll no longer be able to erase it.
3B. Now if it's a Rewritable CD and it has some files in it. You must erase all the files in it in order to save your Microsoft Word file.
4. Send the saved file in the directory where your CD is in.
5. Then go to that directory and you'll see your file icon having a down-arrow, meaning it's ready to be saved.
6. Click the 'Write these files to CD' and...
You'll have your first ever CD-writing experience! Have fun!!
Or better yet... Next time, choose USB Flash Reader for convenient use, larger capacity, easy storage and no hassle!

U have to burn the CD using an appropriate software such as Nero. Use the option "write a data CD". Better buy a USB stick because it's pointless to write a single word file onto a CD (a word file has about 100KB of data while a CD can carry 700MB)

Place the blank cd into your CD-RW drive. Open the program you use to burn your cds. Go to file, then open, then locate the file you are trying to dub onto the cd. If you can't find it this way, do a search under MY COMPUTER.

You start with a CD or DVD burner, a software program, and a blank CD. Your software will walk you through it.
