Because Foley is THEIR boy. They think law doesn't apply to them and that they can do no wrong. Dictator Dumbya is a liar, thief and killer, but he thinks he has royal immunity.

I don't know what NAMBALA is.
Conservatives are not defending a child molester. Conservatives are saying that if he did this, he needs to go. Which has already happened, because he resigned.
Conservatives are asking the people who discovered this why the waited so long to turn this information over to authorities and why they won't turn over unedited copies of the evidence. They had the e-mails for months. Conservatives are accusing liberals and the media of trying to influence the elections by releasing the information when they thought it would benefit liberals in election season. If they were truly protecting the children, they would have handed over the information to the authorities the second they found it. Conservatives are also asking why liberals are all of the sudden blaming homosexuals. Do democrats support or not support homosexuals. And why didn't these people raise this much of a fuss when Bill Clinton was caught having sex with an inturn. Taking advantage of your position for sexual reasons is taking advantage of your position for sexual reasons.
This didn't have anything to do with either political party. This is one sick individual.

Not one person is defending the actions of Rep Tom Foley. Name someone saying his behavior was OK.
As I understand what happened beginning 3 yrs ago Foley sent some creepy emails to a 16 yr old Page, only while the Page was out of Washington. . 3yrs later Foley sent some explicit IMs to that same Page, now 18 yrs old, and once again while the Page was not in Washington. When Foley was exposed he resigned. Republicans are glad he resigned.
Since the age of consent is 16 in almost all states it cannot be called child molestation. It was disgusting but something other than child molestation. Since no physical contact occured it can't be sex, still disgusting. It may have been sexual harassment, it definitely was stupid and gross.
Again who is defending him? Pointing out the details is not the same as defending someone. I hope Foley if shown to have committed a crime is prosecuted. I am glad he left office.
Both parties have sexual problems. Remember Mel Reynolds, D-IL? He was convisted of statutory rape of 15 yr old campaign worker. Served a jail sentence and was pardoned by Clinton. Gerry Studds D-MA was caught solicting sex from a male 17 yr old Page. Was censured by the House of Rep.

The Republicans never defended Foley. They suggested he resign, which was a responsible thing.
The Democrats protect child molesters. Studds, Franks and even a presidential pardon for Mel Reynolds.
Ask Nancy Pelosi about NAMBLA, she supports their mission.
