You need to see a doctor now, you are probably having a miscarriage. This is not a period.

You could be miscarrying. Go to the doctor.

Hey, I got a positive test but my period started anyway! Huh? Since some HPT's are so sensitive, they can detect a pregnancy in its very early stages. Unfortunately, it's estimated that up to 50% of pregnancies are lost very early on. In the past, most women did not even realize they were pregnant-- their periods would arrive on time, or perhaps a day or two late. Now, women testing very early may get a positive test, but experience bleeding almost immediately afterwards. This is an early miscarriage, also referred to as a "chemical pregnancy." It is likely that you did conceive and the embryo implanted for a short time before dying. This miscarriage is "disguised" as a period because the bleeding happens right around the time you would expect your period. Because this is so common, you probably have nothing to worry about, medically speaking, if it happens to you once or twice (although it is still heartbreaking when it happens!) If, however, this happens to you more than a couple times, or in consecutive pregnancies, you should discuss it with your doctor, as this can signal a problem (which can oftentimes be corrected with minimal treatment.)

That said, it is also possible to experience some spotting or bleeding and still have a healthy pregnancy, so don't panic! It may be implantation bleeding (from your baby snuggling in your uterus for a nice long stay!) If you experience bleeding after a positive pregnancy test, you should call your doctor.

some women have a era like bleeding for some or all of their being pregnant. i could pony up the money to get yet another being pregnant try on the grocery and retest with the 1st morning urine contained in the morning while it truly is maximum centred. it truly is achieveable that the being pregnant remains possible, that she had an early miscarriage and factors of the placenta are nonetheless in there becoming or she would have a tumor that usually arises from a retained placenta( Molar being pregnant). it truly is unusual for a being pregnant attempt again up advantageous if there is not any longer something there generating the hormone this is picked up by potential of the try. As I suggested. pass get yet another try to if it comes back advantageous , she needs to get to a doctor the following day because of the fact there is in all risk a situation with besides the fact that remains making the hormone , be that a baby or some thing extra serious .

With my first pregnancy! I had a miscarriage about 1 week after the bleeding stopped! The Dr. will do several blod tests on different days to moniter your HCG levels! Chances are you are pregnant, hopefully you are one of those women who just get their period during your pregnancy and that it is NOT a miscarriage, it is a hard thing to deal with! I will keep you in my prayers!

Definitely call your doctor. If you are cramping along with the bleeding, then it is probably a miscarraige, I'm sorry to say. Your doctor can do blood tests and ultrasound to determine if you are having one. It could also be a false positive on your pregnancy test. Your doctor will be able to tell you for sure.

Good Luck!

Don't panic!!! You could be pregnant and just bleeding or you could be having a miscarriage. My sister was 2 months pregnant and she started bleeding heavily for a few days but the baby was fine and she is due anytime now. I know many people who have had this problem and things were fine. However it wouldn't hurt to at least just make sure everything is okay. Good luck! Let us know!

It's possible, but not too common. I have a friend who says her mom never stopped having periods when she was pregnant with her! Home tests are NOT 100% accurate, however. I'd recommend seeing your doctor who can give you a no-fail blood test to confirm the positive results.

i had my period for the first 5 months i was pregnant, and some times it was pretty heavy. my doctor said not to worry about it. but if you are having extremely painful cramps and you are absolutely certain that you are pregnant, go to the doctor immediately!if you are not sure you are preggy get the doctor to give you a blood test, and if he confirms that you are pregnant, ask about having your period. like i said i had mine for 5 months of my pregnancy, so it is possible. but you should definately talk to a doctor if you are very worried about this. they have more info and better sources

It could be possible but its more likely that your test is a false positive. Make a doctors appointment and have them do a blood test. Dont forget, if you think that you may be pregnant "act" pregnant. Meaning no smoking, no drinking, and it doesnt hurt to start taking prenatal vitamins!
