The only one downtown that still have availability (10/17-20) is the Ramada (which I heard is in a sketchy area). Is that true? or it is ok? If I had to stay in another area, which is the closest (cherry creek?), or which place would you recommend? Thank you Denver denizens for the help!

If it's the Ramada on Colfax, I would not recommend it, not just because of the dicey neighborhood area, but because of the condition of the rooms (so I've read on travel websites)

Check the Hampton Inn on Sherman St. - it's brand new and just outside the core downtown area. Also the Burnsley All-Suites Inn - great reviews. Cherry Creek is a great area to stay, only about 10-15 minutes away even in rush hour traffic. There is another Hampton Inn in Glendale (on Kentucky, I think) which also gets great reviews.

Another way to identify hotels near the convention center is to bring up the address on Yahoo! Maps and click to view hotels. You can get brief info on the costs if you hover on the icon, or click to get a webpage with more detailed info. Good luck with your search and hope you like Denver!

the main suitable lodges downtown are the Golden Nugget and four Queens. The Strip is quite obtainable by the Deuce bus (from downtown you may seize it by Neonopolis alongside Las Vegas Blvd). it quite is $3 each and every way or $7 for a 24-hour pass. even if you do, do no longer attempt to stroll from downtown to the Strip and vice versa. it quite is a pair miles and you eventually finally end up dealing with some seedy aspects.
