No. Too many essential goods and services are ludicrously expensive when compared with salaries. Housing and transport immediately spring to mind. Most people need these two things in order to work, and thus earn an income with which they struggle to pay for their housing and transport. In so many countries, these two items are much lower as a proportion of income. I am emigrating next year.
