I would also call local governors as well................local news would make a hey day out of this playing on the dis. angle and that you are NOT trying to get out of paying rent, you just want to be in the home.

Good luck

You can not be forcibly evicted by your landlord, who has violated the proceedural laws besides using force.Your landlord is chargeable both under civil and criminal laws. You can have immediate recourse to restore your rights for being in the house with all your possessions by filing a criminal case against the landlord. It is for the landlord either to file a case under civil law in the court for eviction after giving reasonable notice to you or have fair dealing with you to continue the tenancy in view of your pecuniary and domestic circumstances. In any case, courts will protect your rights to live in the house unless you can find alternate house.

Go to Tenant Rights, they helped me. It's free. Or if your not in California, go to google.com and search for Landlord/Tenant Rights or Court Self-Help Center. All the forms and answers are there. Or look up Unlawful Detainer, for California the site is: http://www.courtinfo.ca.gov/selfhelp/other/landtenqna30.htm

Good Luck and you do have rights! Oh ya try consumer rights look in the front of the white pages under government or county or city, for the 800 number.

Check with your local Housing Authority to see what your rights are. Good luck.

She has to give you at least 30 days notice, regardless if you have a lease or not. (Most states anyway) I believe her taking your things could be trespassing (again-most states require a 24 notice to enter unless its an emergency) and theft of your things.

Get an attorney, go to legal aid if you cant afford one, sounds like your landlord has violated several laws, at least where I live anyway.
